Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. PSV Eindhoven

:Headline: Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. PSV Eindhoven:
Sports Mole rounds up all of Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Thursday's Europa League Group A clash with PSV Eindhoven.
Sports Mole

Since this article was published, the game has been called off due to a lack of available police officers. A new date for the game will be announced in due course.

Arsenal will aim to maintain their perfect start to the 2022-23 Europa League when PSV Eindhoven visit the Emirates for Thursday's Group A contest.

The Gunners ran out 2-1 winners over FC Zurich on the opening matchday last week, as Marquinhos scored on his debut before turning provider for Eddie Nketiah to head home the winner.

Mikel Arteta's side have had a week to recover from that game following the postponement of their Premier League clash with Everton, and there are fears that Queen Elizabeth II's state funeral could also threaten Thursday's game.

As things stand, the European clash will be going ahead as scheduled, and here, Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with PSV, who drew 1-1 with Bodo/Glimt last week.

Reiss Nelson

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: October 1 (vs. Tottenham Hotspur)

Reiss Nelson continues to recover from the serious thigh injury he sustained in pre-season, and the attacker is not expected to return to action until after the international break.

Thomas Partey

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: October 1 (vs. Tottenham Hotspur)

As is the case with Nelson, Thomas Partey's thigh problem will likely render him unavailable until after the international break, but he has been called up to the Ghana squad for September's fixtures.

Mohamed Elneny

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Partey may only be a couple of weeks away from making a comeback, but Mohamed Elneny is facing months on the sidelines with a severe thigh injury of his own.

Emile Smith Rowe

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: September 15 (vs. PSV)

Emile Smith Rowe appeared to suffer a recurrence of groin discomfort after the 3-1 loss to Manchester United earlier this month, and it remains to be seen if he will be able to come back for Thursday.

Cedric Soares

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: September 15 (vs. PSV)

Cedric Soares picked up a knock prior to the win over Zurich and did not make the travelling squad, but the Portuguese right-back has been working to recover alongside Smith Rowe and could be available this time around.

ARSENAL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Arsenal have no players suspended for this match.
