Four British players have progressed through to the second qualifying round ahead of Wimbledon.

Over half of the domestic wildcards bowed out at the first time of asking, but there remains plenty of British interest ahead of the next stage.

Marcus Willis - who won six qualifying matches on the way to reaching the second round last year - was the pick of the winners as he recorded a 7-5 7-5 victory over Andrej Martin.

The 26-year-old will now play Liam Broady after he defeated former top-70 player Frank Dancevic by a 6-2 6-3 scoreline, while there were also wins for Jay Clarke and Alexander Ward.

Teenager Clarke registered an impressive 6-3 6-4 win over Marcelo Arevalo, while Ward recorded a 6-1 5-7 6-3 success over world number 163 Egor Gerasimov.

Clarke now goes head to head with Sweden's Elias Ymer, with Ward facing either Go Soeda or Inigo Cervantes.
