England duo Courtney Tulloch and Georgia-Mae Fenton rounded off a magnificent day of artistic gymnastics for the host nation at the 2022 Commonwealth Games with gold medals in the rings and uneven bars competitions.

Tulloch showed exactly why he was the reigning Commonwealth champion on the rings with an exemplary performance, scoring 14.400 to finish on top of the podium.

Fresh from winning gold in the men's pommel horse, Joe Fraser harnessed all the strength left he had in his shoulders but had to settle for fourth with a total of 14.100.

The silver medal went to Cyprus' Sokratis Pilakouris with 14.300, and bronze medallist Chris Kaji of Canada (14.266) was not too far behind.

Over on the uneven bars, Fenton replicated Tulloch's feat to successfully defend her Commonwealth title, sticking her full-twisting double tuck dismount without a flicker of movement.

The 21-year-old finished with 13.900 on the board, as Australia's Georgia Godwin (13.500) took the silver with South Africa's Caitlin Rooskrantz (13.433) in third.

Ondine Achampong - who won the silver in the women's all-around competition - finished fourth, while Scotland's vault bronze medallist Shannon Archer was down in eighth.

Elsewhere on Monday, Jake Jarman won his third gold medal of the Games in the men's floor final, with Giarnni Regini-Moran scooping the bronze alongside his compatriot. body check tags ::
