Sergio Garcia, Justin Rose move into top 10 of world rankings

Sergio Garcia and Justin Rose move back into the top 10 of the World Golf Rankings after their battle at The Masters.

Sergio Garcia has moved into seventh position in the World Golf Rankings after his triumph at The Masters.

The Spaniard claimed his first Major crown in dramatic circumstances as he edged out Justin Rose in a playoff at Augusta, and he has improved from 11th to seventh in the standings.

Rose moves seven places from 15th to eighth after his near miss at the first Major of 2017, while Rory McIlroy remains in second after claiming a top-10 finish.

Jordan Spieth is up to fifth - despite a poor final round - with Paul Casey, Matt Kuchar and Charl Schwartzel all sitting in the top 20 after impressive showings on Sunday.

Belgium's Thomas Pieters is also on the move and now holds 26th position after earning a share of fourth place in Georgia.
