Besiktas to move for West Ham United's Javier Hernandez in January?

West Ham United striker Javier Hernandez is a January transfer target for Turkish side Besiktas, according to a report.

Turkish giants Besiktas may reportedly offer Javier Hernandez a route out of West Ham United when the transfer window reopens for business.

The Mexican striker is rumoured to want out of the London Stadium in January due to growing tension between himself and his Irons teammates over wages.

ESPN suggests that Besiktas are interested in making a move for the 30-year-old midway through the campaign, having already sent board member Umut Guner to the English capital to begin talks with players on the club's transfer radar.

A new striker is said to take priority for the Black Eagles, and Hernandez fits the mould of the type of player that they are after.

The report claims that a formal offer has not yet been tabled, which would likely involve a loan to begin with, as Besiktas are first gauging Hernandez's willingness to switch to the Super Lig at this point in his career.
