Watford have loan offer for Craig Dawson rejected by West Bromwich Albion?

Watford reportedly have an offer to take defender Craig Dawson on loan for next season rejected by West Bromwich Albion.

Watford have reportedly had an offer to take defender Craig Dawson on loan for next season rejected by West Bromwich Albion.

West Brom have already lost key players Salomon Rondon, Jonny Evans, Grzegorz Krychowiak and James McClean this summer, while goalkeeper Ben Foster joined the Hornets earlier in the transfer window.

Watford have already signed full-backs Marc Navarro and Adam Masina this summer to bolster their defence, but Sky Sports News reports that the Hertfordshire club want Dawson on loan as well, but this offer was rejected by the Baggies.

The report adds that the offer was an initial loan fee of £750,000 and also included an option to buy Dawson for £2.5m instalments over four years adding up to a total of £10m.

Dawson has spent eight years at West Brom, making 153 appearances for the Championship side.
