Football rumours from the media

Could Ivan Perisic be heading to Tottenham?

What the papers say

Ivan Perisic reportedly wants a move to Tottenham – and could see his hopes realised this summer. The Sun says reports in Italy suggest the Inter Milan winger was keen to sign for Spurs ahead of Arsenal during the January transfer window, but Mauricio Pochettino failed to make a big move for his signature. Things are set to be different this summer, however, with a potential cash plus player deal in the offing, the paper adds.

Real Madrid believe they can capitalise on Maurizio Sarri's struggles at Chelsea as they look to sign forward Eden Hazard at the end of the season, the Daily Mirror reports. The Belgian's long-anticipated move to the Spanish giants looks likely amid reports Chelsea players have lost faith in Sarri, the paper says.

Meanwhile, former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is being considered by Chelsea as a replacement for Sarri, The Sun claims. The club are ready to turn to the 46-year-old to help make them a European superpower again, and talks have advanced over when they should make their move, the paper says.

Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil is being touted around clubs as his future at the London side remains unclear, the Daily Telegraph reports. The paper says intermediaries are looking to find teams that could afford to sign the German, with his £350,000-a-week wages said to be the biggest obstacle to any move away.

Players to watch

Aaron Wan-Bissaka: The Crystal Palace right-back is reportedly being eyed up by Borussia Dortmund as well as Manchester City. The Sun reports that Pep Guardiola will face serious competition for the £40million-rated star, with the German giants keen to land the 21-year-old.

Suso: Arsenal are said to have sent scouts to watch the AC Milan forward in action over the weekend. The Daily Star says reports in Italy indicate the former Liverpool player was being eyed up by the Gunners as Milan played Cagliari at the San Siro.
