Wolves boss O'Neil expecting Man City to fail with Nunes bid
Head coach Gary O'Neil has insisted that he "fully expects" Matheus Nunes to still be at Wolverhampton Wanderers come the end of the week.
Last week, reports began to emerge that Manchester City had made an approach for the Portugal international, an alternative to Lucas Paqueta who they tried and failed to sign from West Ham United.
Wolves immediately rejected the first bid from the Premier League champions and that has remained their stance with other offers said to have been made over the coming days.
Nunes has taken it upon himself to stop training with Wolves in an effort to force a transfer to the Etihad Stadium, a development which has since been confirmed by O'Neil.

"The important thing now is that I settle in quickly here. I want to get going right away. We've got lots to aim for this season and I want to play my part in the team reaching our goals."
Transfer rumours: Tavares to Forest, Iwobi to Fulham, Origi to Burnley
Nottingham Forest have reportedly come to an agreement with Arsenal over a deal for Nuno Tavares.
The 23-year-old is free to leave the Emirates Stadium this summer, and there has been a host of speculation surrounding his future over the last few weeks.
Forest have recently emerged as the favourites for the full-back, and according to the Daily Mail, the Reds have now come to an agreement with Arsenal over a deal.
The report claims that Tavares is set to move on loan to Steve Cooper's side for the 2023-24 campaign, while there will be the option to make the move permanent for around £12m next summer.
