Sunderland keen on loan deal for Crystal Palace midfielder Jonny Williams?

Sunderland are reportedly in talks with Crystal Palace over a season-long loan deal for midfielder Jonny Williams.

Crystal Palace midfielder Jonny Williams has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Sunderland.

Williams began his career at Selhurst Park in 2011, but the Welsh international has endured six loan periods away from the club since turning professional.

According to Sky Sports News, the 23-year-old could spend a seventh spell at another club, with Sunderland hopeful of completing a move for the player.

It has been claimed that Williams is scheduled to undergo a medical in the North-East ahead of a season-long loan move.

While 69 appearances have been made for Palace, Williams last featured in a first-team game for Ipswich Town in December before a loan spell was ended due to injury.

Sunderland boss Simon Grayson is keen on new signings with the Black Cats sitting in 19th position in the Championship standings.
