Tottenham Hotspur 'to scout teenage ace ahead of potential move'

Tottenham Hotspur will scout Bolton Wanderers midfielder Luca Connell against Derby County this weekend, according to a report.

Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly scout Bolton Wanderers midfielder Luca Connell during his team's Championship clash with Derby County on Saturday afternoon.

Connell came through the youth system at Bolton and has made seven Championship appearances during the 2018-19 campaign.

According to The Sun, Tottenham are one of eight Premier League clubs due to watch the 17-year-old in action against the Rams ahead of a potential bid in this summer's transfer window.

Connell, who can play in defence and midfield, was reportedly the subject of failed transfer bids from Southampton and Brighton & Hove Albion during the winter window.

Meanwhile, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Everton, Watford and Leeds United are also said to be amongst those interested in signing the teenager ahead of the 2019-2020 season.
