Tottenham Hotspur reportedly reject a deadline-day approach from Watford for England international full-back Danny Rose.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly rejected a bid from Watford for full-back Danny Rose.

The England international was told that he is free to find a new club earlier this summer after being omitted from the travelling party for their pre-season tour of Asia.

The likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus have been linked with Rose, but reports earlier on deadline day suggested that Watford were looking to push through a deal.

However, Spurs will not let Rose leave on the cheap, and The Mirror reports that they have rejected an opening bid from the Hornets as it does not meet their asking price of £25m.

The report goes on to say that Watford are still hopeful of reaching an agreement before this afternoon's 5pm transfer deadline.

The transfer window does not close until September 2 for European clubs, meaning that PSG and Juventus could still sign Rose if he does not secure an exit today.
