How Tottenham Hotspur could line up against Fulham

Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Tottenham Hotspur could line up for their Premier League clash with Fulham on Thursday evening.

Tottenham Hotspur will hope to build on their crushing victory over Burnley when they travel to Craven Cottage to take on Fulham in Thursday's Premier League London derby.

With Serge Aurier returning from injury at the weekend, Giovani Lo Celso is the visitors' only absentee for this game, although the Argentinian midfielder should return to action within the next couple of weeks.

Whether Aurier is risked again from the off so soon is another question entirely - especially when taking into account Sunday's game against Crystal Palace - so Jose Mourinho may elect to hand Matt Doherty a start in defence.

Sergio Reguilon is a shoo-in on the opposite side of defence, but Toby Alderweireld may be rested for this game with the weekend in mind, meaning that the opinion-dividing Eric Dier could return to partner Davinson Sanchez in front of Hugo Lloris.

Ever-present midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is one of the first names on the teamsheet, but with Mourinho possessing plenty of options for change in the engine room, Moussa Sissoko could be trusted from the first whistle ahead of Tanguy Ndombele and Harry Winks.

Dele Alli made a third substitute outing in a row against Burnley and must surely come into Mourinho's thinking for a rare start soon, but Lucas Moura is in no position to relinquish his spot after his goal at the weekend so should start once more in the number 10 role.

The resurgent Gareth Bale is finally displaying his true qualities and will aim to keep his hot streak going at Craven Cottage - the Welshman could score in three consecutive matches for the first time since September 2018 this week.

Unsurprisingly, Harry Kane is the joint-top goalscorer in this fixture with six strikes to his name, and the England captain will be aiming to find the back of the net for the fifth time in a row against Fulham as he leads the line once again.

Tottenham Hotspur possible starting lineup:
Lloris; Doherty, Dier, Sanchez, Reguilon; Hojbjerg, Sissoko; Bale, Moura, Son; Kane
