How Tottenham Hotspur could line up against Brentford

Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Tottenham Hotspur could line up for Saturday's Premier League clash with Brentford.

Tottenham Hotspur could be without up to five players for Saturday's home encounter against Brentford in the Premier League.

Hugo Lloris (hip), Ryan Sessegnon (hamstring) and Rodrigo Bentancur (knee) are all sidelined for the rest of the season due to injury, while Eric Dier and Japhet Tanganga both missed the 2-1 defeat at Aston Villa last weekend with knocks and will be assessed ahead of kickoff against the Bees.

Spurs were boosted by the return to fitness of Clement Lenglet last time out and the Barcelona loanee could continue in the back three alongside Cristian Romero and Emerson Royal.

However, Emerson will likely compete with January signing Pedro Porro for the right wing-back spot if Dier passes a late fitness test.

Ryan Mason appears to have settled on a midfield partnership of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Oliver Skipp, and the pair are expected to start their fifth successive game together, although the Spurs boss has suggested that Yves Bissouma is "fit to play".

Ivan Perisic will push Ben Davies for a start at left wing-back having been benched for the last two matches, while Mason will ponder selecting two of Son Heung-min, Dejan Kulusevski and Richarlison to operate in the final third.

Talisman Harry Kane – who has scored in 24 different Premier League matches this season, the joint-most in a 38-game campaign – is expected to lead the line on Saturday, and the Spurs striker will look to become just the second player in Premier League history to score 10 goals in London derbies in the same season after Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink (2001-02).

Tottenham Hotspur possible starting lineup: Forster; Romero, Dier, Lenglet; Porro, Hojbjerg, Skipp, Davies; Kulusevski, Son; Kane body check tags ::
