Tottenham Hotspur have appointed Antonio Conte as their new manager.

The Lilywhites relieved Nuno Espirito Santo of his duties after just 17 games in charge, with the North London club currently eighth in the Premier League table.

Conte will need time and money to mould this Spurs squad into his own vision, but fans can already expect to see the ex-Chelsea and Inter Milan coach utilising his highly effective 3-5-2 from the off.

Here, Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Spurs could line up under Conte.

Conte is already being tipped to bring a wealth of Serie A stars to Tottenham, but for now, the Premier League and Scudetto-winning coach will have to make do with the resources already available to him in North London.

The Italian should already know plenty about Pierluigi Gollini and Cristian Romero from previous meetings with Atalanta BC, but the former is yet to wrestle the number one jersey off of Hugo Lloris.

A switch to a three-man central defence could see Romero joined by Eric Dier and Davinson Sanchez, although Stefan de Vrij is rumoured to be Conte's top target as he eyes a squad overhaul.

Matt Doherty thrived in a wing-back role under Santo at Wolverhampton Wanderers and will hope to reignite his career with the arrival of Conte, but Emerson Royal and Sergio Reguilon should be the favourites to start out wide.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Oliver Skipp will likely be shoo-ins for Conte's packed midfield, and with both Giovani Lo Celso and Dele Alli struggling to impress, Tanguy Ndombele could complete the Italian's engine room.

Such a move would likely limit the opportunities for Bryan Gil and Steven Bergwijn, with Harry Kane and Son Heung-min hoping to resume their formerly deadly partnership up top while Lucas Moura provides another attacking option for Conte.
