Tottenham Hotspur announced on Friday that South Korean attacker Son Heung-min has committed his future to the club until 2025.

The 29-year-old has been nothing short of a revelation since making the move from Bayer Leverkusen six years ago and is now in line to spend a decade in North London, where he has dazzled and delighted season in season out.

Son has now pulled on the Tottenham jersey 280 times in all competitions, claiming 107 goals and 64 assists in the process, and Spurs fans have been treated to some truly outrageous strikes from the smiling assassin.

Here, Sports Mole takes a closer look at five of Son's most memorable goals in a Tottenham Hotspur shirt.

5. West Ham United (January 2018)

Son had been forced to watch Tottenham do it the hard way without him against West Ham earlier in the 2017-18 season - the one Premier League game he did not feature in during that campaign - but he produced the goods when the Hammers paid a visit to Wembley.

After Pedro Obiang's own wonder strike had put West Ham in the ascendancy, Son picked up the ball some 30 yards away from goal and unleashed a thunderous effort beyond the futile reaches of Adrian in the 84th minute.

Son's 39th goal for the club would see him rescue a point for his side in that London derby, and that effort was one of 18 Premier League goal contributions for the South Korean in the 2017-18 season as Spurs claimed a third-placed finish.

4. Chelsea (November 2018)

Son's 2018-19 campaign was yet to get going before Chelsea made the short trip across the capital, as the attacker's international commitments earlier in the season and failure to score in seven Premier League matches gave quite the cause for concern.

However, Son would open his account for the season in some style, as he latched onto a long pass from Dele Alli just inside the Chelsea half before easing his way past Jorginho and David Luiz en route to goal.

The South Korean would proceed to calmly slot past Kepa Arrizabalaga to put Spurs 3-0 up on the day, and that effort would prove to be the catalyst for a stellar goalscoring run over the next few months, as Son would go on to score 10 goals in the 12 Premier League games following that derby victory.

3. Manchester City (April 2019)

This seven-goal Champions League thriller at the Etihad Stadium will forever go down as one of the most iconic nights for British teams in Europe, as Spurs travelled north for the second leg of their quarter-final boasting a 1-0 lead thanks to a first-leg winner from Son himself.

Raheem Sterling took all of four minutes to level the tie on aggregate, but Son quickly turned the Etihad into his playground by notching up an away goal in the seventh minute, and the ex-Bayer Leverkusen man was not finished just yet.

The South Korean would collect the ball just inside the Man City area in the 10th minute following a pass from Christian Eriksen before taking a touch and curling a sublime effort past the reaches of Ederson during a bewildering first half, and he could have easily had a hat-trick on the night as well.

City would ultimately win the second leg 4-3 on a night which was not without a healthy dose of VAR controversy, but Son's away goals helped propel Spurs into the semi-finals before their heartbreak against Liverpool in the showpiece event.

2. Arsenal (December 2020)

There could hardly have been a more fitting occasion for a select group of fortunate supporters to return to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in December of last year, as Jose Mourinho's team produced a typical tactical masterclass against North London rivals Arsenal.

Within just 13 minutes of kickoff, Son would make a trademark charging run down the left-hand side of the pitch before cutting inside, taking Rob Holding out of the game and curling in a sumptuous effort worthy of winning any encounter.

The attacker's deadly double act with Harry Kane was on show throughout the most recent season, and he would go on to assist the England captain for his side's second of the game during a man-of-the-match performance against their North London counterparts.

1. Burnley (December 2019)

In truth, there was only ever going to be one strike at the top of this list. Spurs were spreading the festive cheer to a full crowd of supporters when Burnley paid a visit in December 2019 and quickly went 2-0 up thanks to strikes from Kane and Lucas Moura.

With 32 minutes on the clock, Son collected the ball just outside of his own penalty area before embarking on a magnificent solo run - evading challenge after challenge in the process - before keeping a cool head to slot home past a dejected Nick Pope.

Son's wonder goal against the Clarets saw him become the first Tottenham and South Korean player to scoop the Puskas Award, and Spurs fans can look ahead to another array of Son stunners in the coming years.
