Marc Bartra ruled out of Tottenham Hotspur clash

Marc Bartra will miss Borussia Dortmund's meeting with Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League due to an injury picked up at the weekend.

Borussia Dortmund defender Marc Bartra has been ruled out of Wednesday evening's Champions League meeting with Tottenham Hotspur due to an adductor injury.

The 26-year-old, who has featured in all three of BVB's league games this term, was withdrawn during the first half of the goalless draw with Freiburg at the weekend.

Dortmund boss Peter Bosz has now confirmed that Bartra has not recovered in time to travel, while captain Marcel Schmelzer has also been ruled out of action for six weeks.

Schmelzer injured his ankle in the same match, as Bosz's side dropped points for the first time this season.

Neven Subotic, currently suffering with an illness, is the other absentee for the German side ahead of the midweek trip to Wembley Stadium.
