Luca Zidane, the second son of France legend Zinedine Zidane, has been called up to the French national side.

The French Football Federation revealed on its website that the 16-year-old goalkeeper has been invited to an Under-16 training camp later this month.

Luca would follow in the footsteps of Zidane's eldest son, Enzo, who is already part of the France Under-19s set-up.

Both players are also on the books of Spanish giants Real Madrid - where Zidane is currently assistant manager to Carlo Ancelotti - alongside his other sons Theo and Elyaz.

Zidane is widely regarded as the greatest French player in history, having won three World Player of the Year awards and inspired his country to World Cup success in 1998 and European Championships glory two years later.

The 41-year-old made 108 appearances for the national team overall, although his swansong was overshadowed by a red card in the 2006 World Cup final against Italy.
