Real Madrid defender David Alaba was reportedly able to train fully alongside his teammates on Wednesday, with the Austrian recovering from a thigh problem.

The 29-year-old missed out against Rayo Vallecano in La Liga last weekend due to the muscle injury, and there had been suggestions that he could be absent against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League next week.

However, according to AS, Alaba trained 'at the same pace and intensity' as his Real Madrid teammates on Wednesday, and the Austria international will be fit for the last-16 second leg against PSG.

The report claims that the centre-back is unlikely to be risked against Real Sociedad in the league this weekend, with head coach Carlo Ancelotti preferring to give him extra time to recover for the European contest at Bernabeu.

Alaba joined Los Blancos from Bayern Munich last summer and has enjoyed an impressive first season at Bernabeu, contributing two goals and four assists in 34 appearances.

Real Madrid are currently top of La Liga, six points ahead of second-placed Sevilla, while they are 1-0 behind to PSG ahead of the second leg of the last-16 affair. body check tags ::
