The agent of Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti has claimed that his client has agreed a new contract with the French club.

Donato Di Campli revealed last month that discussions over fresh terms were at an advanced stage.

Now, Di Campli has stated that those talks have reached a successful conclusion, with an official announcement likely to be made in the near future.

"We have agreed terms over a new deal. It is only a matter of putting it down on paper. Marco will stay with PSG for a long time, at least until 2020," he told Corriere dello Sport.

"This is already the fourth time he has signed a contract renewal since joining PSG. He now has to show again that he is worth his wages."

The 23-year-old's current deal at the Parc des Princes is due to expire in 2019.
