Lorient will look to put an end to a run of eight games without a win in Ligue 1 on Wednesday, when they travel to take on Troyes.
Despite their struggles, the visitors sit two points better off than their opponents, who find themselves level with Clermont in the bottom three.

After winning for only the second time this season, Metz can do something that they have yet to do in the 2021-22 Ligue 1 campaign, win at home, and they have a chance to do that on Wednesday, playing host to Montpellier HSC at Stade Saint-Symphorien.
Les Grenats are in 19th place following their 1-0 win versus Nice over the weekend, while La Paillade have dropped consecutive league fixtures after winning two in a row, losing 1-0 to Lyon on Sunday.

Metz may be coming off a high note which is not the case for Montpellier, but they have been poor at home for a long time and have not beaten La Paillade in Metz in their previous three fixtures against them.
Losing consecutive matches is rare for Montpellier, and we do not expect that trend to continue, given the experience of this squad compared to their opponents on Wednesday.

Brest vs. St Etienne (Wednesday, 6.00pm)
Saint-Etienne return to action in Ligue 1 on Wednesday with an opportunity to climb out of last place when they head to Stade Francis-Le Ble for a date with Brest.
Les Verts had their four-game unbeaten run snapped by PSG over the weekend, losing 3-1, while Les Pirates have won four in a row after coming back to beat Bordeaux 2-1 on Sunday.

Brest are playing inspired football at the moment with six goals, and none against in their previous two road matches, and they should not have any trouble scoring against a side like Les Verts, who have allowed the most goals in the league (31) and have conceded 17 times in seven matches away from home.

Angers vs. Monaco (Wednesday, 6.00pm)
Two surprise stories for different reasons will face each other on Wednesday to kick off the final month of 2021 in Ligue 1 as Angers host Monaco at Stade Jean-Bouin.
The small club based in Western France are off to an excellent start, currently in sixth in the table and unbeaten in their last three games, while Les Monegasques have struggled domestically, going winless in four straight contests, presently sitting in ninth.
We say: Angers 0-1 Monaco
Angers have lost three straight games against Monaco and have not beaten them since January 2016, and as good as they have been so far in this campaign, there are still moments where they allow too much space in their third of the field like they did against Lens over the weekend.
Monaco should have plenty of possession in this one, and they can afford to put a stronger side together for these league contests for a little while, with a spot in the next phase of the Europa League already guaranteed.

Nantes vs. Marseille (Wednesday, 8.00pm)
Fourth-placed Marseille travel north-west to the Stade de la Beaujoire to take on Nantes in Wednesday evening's Ligue 1 action.
The two sides are heading in opposite directions - the hosts are winless in four matches whilst their upcoming opponents are unbeaten in six.

Marseille have probably overcome enough adversity during this season to convince them that nothing can stand in their way. Games involving Nantes tend to see both teams score so we are backing a 2-1 away win on this occasion.

Runaway leaders Paris Saint-Germain welcome Nice to the Parc des Princes on Wednesday evening for midweek action in the 16th round of Ligue 1 fixtures.
The hosts bounced back from a disheartening loss in Europe with a win at the weekend, whilst their upcoming opponents slipped to a second consecutive home defeat.

High-flying Rennes welcome reigning champions Lille to Roazhon Park on Wednesday evening with the former playing far more like title-holders than their upcoming opponents.
The hosts moved up to second in the table with another win at the weekend, whilst a draw saw the visitors fall further into the bottom half.
