Blackburn Rovers sign Newcastle United forward Adam Armstrong

Blackburn Rovers announce that they have completed the permanent signing of Newcastle United forward Adam Armstrong.

Blackburn Rovers have announced that they have signed Newcastle United forward Adam Armstrong on a permanent deal.

Armstrong came through the academy system at St James' Park, but the majority of the 21-year-old's senior career has been spent out on loan at clubs in the EFL.

The attacker spent the second half of the most recent campaign at Ewood Park, and Blackburn have moved to sign the player on a full-time basis after nine goals were scored in 21 appearances in League One.

Blackburn have not disclosed a fee, but the newly-promoted Championship outfit have revealed that Armstrong has been given a four-year contract.

Armstrong leaves Newcastle having made four starts and 17 substitute appearances in all competitions.
