Newcastle United are hoping to have both Callum Wilson and Kieran Trippier back fully fit next month, adding to Eddie Howe's options.

Newcastle United are hoping to have both Kieran Trippier and Callum Wilson available again in April, according to a report.

The full-back has missed five weeks of action since breaking a bone in his foot during the match against Aston Villa, where he actually scored the winning goal.

Meanwhile, Wilson has been unavailable since the end of December, which has been a big blow to Eddie Howe's attacking options due to his Achilles injury.

According to The Telegraph, the club are aiming to have both men fit and available for the April 20 match against Crystal Palace, which would make them options for the important fixture against Norwich City straight after.

However, Trippier could be ready even sooner than that as he has recently had his protective boot taken off, and he is able to put a little pressure onto it, with the medical team hoping he could be running in just two weeks.

Wilson has scored six goals for the club this season, and does remain the top goalscorer, despite having an injury-hit season after he missed the entire month of September with fitness issues.
