Sevilla 'considering Anthony Martial approach'

Sevilla are reportedly considering an approach for Manchester United forward Anthony Martial, who is said to be close to penning a new contract.

Sevilla have reportedly began to consider a January approach for Manchester United forward Anthony Martial.

The La Liga side were linked with a move for Martial during the summer, with the player then enduring a strained relationship with manager Jose Mourinho.

However, Mourinho has now left Old Trafford and it has been suggested that the attacker is keen on committing his future to United, but it appears that Sevilla remain keen on the 23-year-old.

According to ESPN, Sevilla see Martial as an alternative option to Alvaro Morata and an approach appears likely with the Chelsea striker seemingly on his way to Atletico Madrid.

Martial has less than six months remaining on his existing contract, but United have the option to extend the deal by 12 months should Martial not agree fresh terms.

Caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has used Martial on a regular basis since replacing Mourinho in December.
