Sergio Romero will reportedly leave Manchester United at the end of the 2020-21 campaign.

The 34-year-old has largely been the club's number two goalkeeper since his arrival from Sampdoria, but he has not made a single appearance for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side this term.

David de Gea, Dean Henderson, Lee Grant and Nathan Bishop are now all ahead of Romero in the pecking order at Old Trafford, and according to Football Insider, the Argentina international will leave this summer.

The report claims that the South American will not be offered an extension on his current contract, which expires at the end of June, meaning that he will be available on a free transfer.

Romero is believed to have been close to joining Everton last summer, but Man United were ultimately not prepared to allow the experienced goalkeeper to move to the Toffees on loan.

The former Racing Club youngster has made 61 appearances for the 20-time English champions. body check tags ::
