Report: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to push for Marouane Fellaini exit

By , Football League Correspondent | 4d
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly shaping Manchester United's squad for the long term and is ready to offload deadwood such as Marouane Fellaini.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly intends to offload the deadwood from Manchester United's squad, starting with midfielder Marouane Fellaini.

Interim boss Solskjaer has made a strong case to land the job on a permanent basis after winning all six of his games in charge, including Sunday's 1-0 win away at Tottenham Hotspur.

Fellaini has featured for a combined half-hour across those fixtures and, according to talkSPORT, he could soon be on his way out of Old Trafford.

Solskjaer is said to have already decided on his favoured team and is now preparing to rid United of unwanted players - a category into which Fellaini falls - as he intends to stay on beyond the summer.

The 31-year-old was used heavily during Jose Mourinho's time at the club, featuring in 13 of the Red Devils' opening 17 fixtures.

AC Milan are believed to be best positioned to snap up Fellaini in the January transfer window.
