Real Betis are reportedly considering making a loan offer for Manchester United defender Tyrell Malacia.

Manuel Pellegrini's side have recently secured a loan deal for Antony, with the Brazilian moving to the Seville outfit from Man United for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign.

However, according to the Daily Mail, Real Betis are considering another raid on Old Trafford, with Malacia wanted amid suggestions that the 25-year-old will be allowed to leave in the final stages of the January transfer window.

The report claims that 'multiple clubs' are keen on the Netherlands international, who has found it difficult to make his mark this season after returning from a serious knee injury which saw him miss almost 18 months of football.

Luke Shaw is close to returning to training, with the Englishman potentially available for selection before the end of February, while Man United are working to close a deal for Lecce's Patrick Dorgu.

Real Betis 'interested in loan move' for Malacia

The Red Devils are now confident of bringing in Dorgu - a left-back - before the deadline, with Red Devils head coach Ruben Amorim pushing for the 20-year-old's arrival to solve a major problem at Old Trafford.

Neither Diogo Dalot nor Noussair Mazraoui have looked convincing while operating down the left, and Amorim wants a specialist to be signed in that position, with Dorgu viewed as a player for both now and the future.

Malacia has made seven appearances this season, including featuring as a late substitute against Fulham in the Premier League on Sunday night, but he is now set to spend the second half of the campaign out on loan.

The Dutchman enjoyed an impressive first season at Old Trafford following his arrival in the summer of 2022, and a loan exit this month does not necessarily mean that he does not have a long-term future at the club, with his contract due to run until 2026, and there is an option to extend it for a further 12 months until 2027.

Will any other Man United players leave before the transfer deadline?

Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho and Casemiro are currently being linked with moves away from the club, but it remains to be seen whether exits are secured before the transfer window closes.

Interest in Rashford has cooled, but following the scathing comments made by head coach Amorim on Sunday, it is still likely that he will leave on loan, while Garnacho continues to be linked with Chelsea and Napoli.

Man United are not actively looking to sell Garnacho, but the club would listen to offers of upwards of £60m, as the Argentina international's exit would count as pure profit under the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability rules.

Roma are currently being linked with a move for out-of-favour midfielder Casemiro, meanwhile, but a deal is complicated late in the window due to the Brazilian's substantial wages. body check tags ::
