Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho 'ready to sell Eric Bailly, Marcos Rojo'

By , Assistant Editor | 7d
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly ready to sanction the exits of both Eric Bailly and Marcos Rojo during the January transfer window.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly ready to let defensive duo Eric Bailly and Marcos Rojo leave the club in January.

Bailly has not featured at all for United since being hauled off after just 19 minutes of last month's 3-2 victory over Newcastle United, when the Red Devils were 2-0 down at the time.

The Ivorian was left out of the squad entirely for Sunday's Manchester derby defeat at the Etihad Stadium, while Rojo is yet to make a single appearance this season despite having returned to fitness and signed a new contract keeping him at the club until 2021.

Mourinho has made no secret of his desire to bolster his defensive options when the January transfer window reopens, and The Telegraph reports that he is willing to sell both Bailly and Rojo in order to help other deals get over the line.

United failed in their pursuit of centre-back targets during the summer but have been linked with the likes of Milan Skriniar, Nathan Ake and Jerome Boateng in January.
