Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata has reportedly returned from his honeymoon in Ibiza in order to complete his proposed £70m move to Manchester United.

Morata has made no secret of his desire for more first-team football next season in the build-up to the 2018 World Cup, having completed the full 90 minutes in just five games during Madrid's La Liga-winning season last term.

United are understood to be in talks over a £70m deal for the Spain international, and AS reports that Morata has put his personal plans on hold to push the move through.

Morata married Alice Campello in Venice last week before heading to Ibiza for his honeymoon, but his return has raised speculation that the deal could be completed within the next two days.

The 24-year-old scored 20 goals to help Madrid to the La Liga and Champions League double last season, but the presence of Karim Benzema saw his starting opportunities limited.
