Manchester United 'eye Italian defender Davide Calabria'

Manchester United consider a move for AC Milan defender Davide Calabria, according to a report.
By , European Football Editor | 4d

Manchester United are reportedly considering a move for AC Milan defender Davide Calabria.

United are expected to move for a new right-back this summer, with club captain Antonio Valencia set to leave Old Trafford on a free transfer due to his struggles this season.

Ashley Young has impressed on the right side of the back four during the 2018-19 campaign, but it is widely thought that the Red Devils will target a new full-back this summer.

According to The Mirror, United 'have been impressed with the scouting reports' that they have received on Calabria, who came through the youth system at Milan.

The 22-year-old, who has a contract at San Siro until the summer of 2022, has contributed one goal and one assist in 26 first-team appearances for Milan this season.
