Manchester United are reportedly unsure whether to extend the contract of their number one goalkeeper David de Gea.

Since arriving from Atletico Madrid in 2011, David de Gea has made 495 appearances for United, while he has won a Premier League title, the Europa League, the FA Cup and the League Cup in his time with the club.

However, his future at Old Trafford appears to be uncertain, with The Mirror reporting that the United hierarchy are yet to decide whether to extend the player's contract.

De Gea's current deal is set to expire next summer, but the club have an option to extend that by an additional year.

United are hesitant to activate the contract extension due to concerns over their growing wage bill, and allowing De Gea to depart could help their finances.

If the Spaniard does leave then the Red Devils could move to sign Jordan Pickford, who has less than two years left on his Everton contract. body check tags ::
