Manchester United prefer Milan Skriniar to Kalidou Koulibaly?

By , Senior Reporter | 4d
Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar is reportedly the top choice for Manchester United ahead of the summer transfer window as they attempt to strengthen their backline.

Manchester United may reportedly focus on bringing in Milan Skriniar from Inter Milan as they continue their pursuit of a new centre-back.

The Red Devils are believed to have whittled down their shortlist of potential options to three players ahead of the summer transfer window.

As well as showing a long-term interest in Skriniar, United are also rumoured to have been tracking Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly and Joachim Andersen of Sampdoria.

Andersen is close to joining Tottenham in a £22m deal, however, and Napoli are refusing to budge on their huge asking price for Koulibaly.

The Independent reports that Skriniar is therefore the clear choice for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side, despite the fact that Inter are in the process of putting together a new contract for the Slovakian defender.

Any purchase will see one of United's current centre-halves move on, it is claimed, with Eric Bailly most at risk as Chris Smalling and Phil Jones only recently signed new deals.
