Manchester United have confirmed that Demetri Mitchell will spend the season on loan at Hearts.
Mitchell made his first-team debut for United at the end of the 2016-17 campaign, but the 21-year-old has failed to gain another outing for the Premier League giants.
The full-back remains down the pecking order at Old Trafford, and that has resulted in United allowing the academy graduate to spend a year in Scotland with Hearts.
Mitchell spent the second half of the last campaign at Tynecastle, scoring one goal from a total of 11 appearances for the top-flight side.
United extended Mitchell's contract to 2020 before a move to Hearts was finalised.
