Manchester United 'draw up three-man striker shortlist'

Manchester United reportedly draw up a three-man striker shortlist including Erling Braut Haaland, Harry Kane and Paulo Dybala.

Manchester United have reportedly narrowed their striker search to three big names in Harry Kane, Paulo Dybala and Erling Braut Haaland.

With uncertainty brewing over Edinson Cavani's future, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to pursue attacking reinforcements in the summer window, as well as a new winger and defensive partner for Harry Maguire.

Funds could prove to be a problem amid the coronavirus pandemic, and while United continue to be linked with players who would command nine-figure sums, they have recently been tipped to move for Andrea Belotti or Andre Silva as cut-price alternatives.

However, the Manchester Evening News reports that Haaland, Kane and Dybala are the Red Devils' three priority targets, and the former is number one on that list given his age and relationship with Solskjaer.

Haaland and Kane are not expected to depart Borussia Dortmund or Tottenham Hotspur for anything less than £100m, and while Dybala's contract at Juventus expires in 2022, Andrea Pirlo has affirmed that the Argentine is not for sale this summer.

Solskjaer has insisted that he will do everything he can to keep Cavani on the books for the 2021-22 season, but the Uruguay international is supposedly keen to return to South America amid links with Boca Juniors.
