Manchester United youngster Anthony Elanga is reportedly set to sign a new long-term contract to stay at Old Trafford.

The 19-year-old forward has impressed at youth level for the Red Devils this campaign, scoring five goals and registering three assists in 11 appearances across all competitions.

According to the Daily Telegraph, Elanga has caught the eye of interim boss Ralf Rangnick, and United are set to reward the talented teenager with a new and improved contract.

Elanga made his competitive debut for the Red Devils against Leicester City in May, and has since featured four more times for the senior side, including twice under Rangnick.

The Sweden Under-21 international came on as a substitute for the final 14 minutes of United's 1-0 Premier League victory against Crystal Palace earlier this month, before playing the full 90 minutes in their final Champions League group-stage match against Young Boys, which finished 1-1.

Elanga previously admitted that he was ready to leave the club on loan for regular first-team football, however he is now prepared to fight for a place in the first team. body check tags ::
