Borussia Dortmund 'pressuring Jadon Sancho to rule out Manchester United move'

Borussia Dortmund are reportedly putting pressure on Jadon Sancho to publicly commit his immediate future to the club amid speculation of a move to Manchester United.

Borussia Dortmund are reportedly putting pressure on Jadon Sancho to publicly announce his commitment to the club amid persistent speculation linking him with a move to Manchester United.

The 20-year-old is at the very top of United's list of targets this summer, but Dortmund chief Michael Zorc has dismissed any chance of the winger leaving after United missed Dortmund's deadline for opening talks.

Sancho has subsequently been included in the German outfit's pre-season squad and featured in their opening match of their training camp yesterday, after which he hinted that he will stay.

However, The Times reports that Dortmund expect Sancho to make a more obvious statement of his commitment, despite numerous reports still claiming that he wants to leave for Old Trafford this summer.

United remain hopeful that they can complete the deal, while Dortmund would reportedly still consider offers if their asking price is met, but that £108m fee is proving to be a major hurdle in negotiations.

The Red Devils have begun identifying alternatives to Sancho should an agreement not be possible, with Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior the latest to be mentioned on that list.
