Carlo Ancelotti: 'Kalidou Koulibaly happy at Napoli'

By , Reporter | 5d
Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti says that defender Kalidou Koulibaly is happy at the Serie A outfit, despite alleged interest from Manchester United.

Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti has played down suggestions that Kalidou Koulibaly wants to leave the Italian giants.

Manchester United are said to hold a strong interest in the centre-back, who was subjected to racist taunts in a recent match against Inter Milan.

A report has claimed that Koulibaly will push for a move to Old Trafford, but Ancelotti believes that the Senegal international is happy to continue to represent the Naples-based outfit.

Ancelotti told reporters: "In England they write that Koulibaly can leave because of the problem of racism, I do not think so.

"Koulibaly is happy in Naples, he's upset like others, but it will not be a trigger for a goodbye. He never showed it, he wants to stay in Naples and in Italy, a country he likes very much."

Napoli remain in a strong position regarding Koulibaly's future, with the player still having four-and-a-half years remaining on his contract.
