Jordan Henderson holds talks with Juventus
Jordan Henderson 'holds talks over Juventus loan move'
Italian giants Juventus have reportedly held talks with Al Ettifaq midfielder Jordan Henderson over a potential loan move.
The former Liverpool captain is rumoured to be pining for an exit from the Saudi Pro League club only a few months after his highly controversial switch to Steven Gerrard's side.
Henderson ended a glittering 12-year spell with Liverpool to follow a plethora of other high-profile names to the Middle East, where it was initially reported that he was earning in the region of £700,000 a week.
The 33-year-old denied such claims and insisted that his switch to Saudi Arabia was not financially motivated, but he is still believed to be pocketing a whopping £350,000 a week in the Gulf state.

Chelsea 'still hopeful of beating Barcelona to Estevao Willian'
Chelsea have reportedly not given up hope of beating Barcelona to 16-year-old Palmeiras sensation Estevao Willian.
The 2007-born attacker has earned a glowing reputation as one of the top talents in South America over the past few months, thanks largely to a spate of dazzling displays in a Brazil shirt.
During November's Under-17 World Cup, Estevao scored three goals and set up three more in five matches for Brazil, although his nation were eliminated by Argentina in the quarter-finals.
Only a couple of weeks after his World Cup exploits, Estevao made his first-team debut for Palmeiras on the final day of their triumphant 2023 Brasileiro season, playing 12 minutes as a substitute in their 1-1 draw with Cruzeiro.

Spurs 'consider recalling Tanguy Ndombele if they miss out on Conor Gallagher'
Tottenham Hotspur will apparently consider recalling Tanguy Ndombele from his loan spell at Galatasaray if they fail in their pursuit of Chelsea's Conor Gallagher.
The Lilywhites have already strengthened at the back and up front in the January transfer window, bringing in Radu Dragusin permanently from Genoa and Timo Werner on loan from RB Leipzig.
A new face in the engine room is now believed to be Ange Postecoglou's priority, and it is claimed that Chelsea's Gallagher - who is in the final 18 months of his Stamford Bridge deal - sits at the top of the Australian's wishlist.
Chelsea are believed to be open to offers for Gallagher this year given his contract situation, but Tottenham could be quoted a fee of £50m to prise him away from their London rivals in the current window.

Newcastle 'open to cut-price Guimaraes sale to Barcelona or Real Madrid'
Newcastle United would supposedly consider selling midfield fulcrum Bruno Guimaraes to Real Madrid or Barcelona for less than his £100m release clause.
The 26-year-old has gone from strength to strength since departing Lyon for St James' Park in January 2022, playing an integral role in the Magpies' return to the Champions League.
Despite often being forced to play in the number six role rather than his favoured advanced position, Guimaraes continues to provide an impact at both ends of the pitch for Eddie Howe's side, scoring 11 goals and setting up nine more in 86 matches.
Guimaraes has one goal and three assists to show from 29 outings in the current campaign, but Newcastle's Champions League campaign ended in the group stage, and their premature exit allegedly left the midfielder furious.

Amad Diallo hints at Manchester United stay amid exit talk
Amad Diallo has hinted that he will be staying with Manchester United this month despite being linked with a loan move away from the 20-time English champions.
The 21-year-old missed the opening months of the 2023-24 campaign due to a knee problem which he suffered during pre-season, but the forward has recently returned to action.
Amad made his return off the bench against Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on December 30, but he was not involved against Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup last time out due to illness.
The Ivory Coast international is set to return to the squad against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, with Red Devils head coach Erik ten Hag confirming that he has overcome the health issue which saw him left out at Wigan.

Greenwood "happy" at Getafe amid speculation surrounding future
Mason Greenwood has said that he is "happy" at Getafe and has thanked the Spanish club's fans for their support since his arrival on loan from Manchester United last summer.
Having been informed that he had no future at Old Trafford, the forward was sent on loan to Getafe for the 2023-24 campaign, and he has impressed for the capital side this term, scoring five goals and registering four assists in 17 appearances in all competitions.
As it stands, Greenwood will return to Man United this summer, and he has another 18 months left to run on his contract with the 20-time English champions.
There have been suggestions that the 22-year-old could still have a future at Old Trafford, but it is widely thought that he will leave the Red Devils on a permanent basis at the end of the campaign.

Brentford 'make Renan Lodi enquiry'
Brentford are reportedly interested in signing Marseille left-back Renan Lodi.
The Bees recently made their first signing of the January window, recruiting 18-year-old midfielder Yunus Emre Konak from Turkish Super Lig side Sivasspor.
While Konak is expected to start his Brentford career with the B team, the Bees are looking to strengthen their senior side following a poor run of form.
Having lost each of their last five Premier League matches, Thomas Frank's side currently sit in 16th place and just three points above the drop zone.

Kimmich addresses future amid Man City, Barcelona talk
Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich has said that he is "concentrating on" his current side amid suggestions that he will be on the move during this summer's transfer window.
The Germany international remains a vital player for Bayern, making 21 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring once and providing six assists in the process.
However, the 28-year-old only has a contract at Allianz Arena until June 2025, and there have been claims that he will depart the German club this summer in search of a fresh challenge.
Barcelona are believed to have a long-term interest in the midfielder, while Man City are also said to be keen to secure his signature ahead of the 2024-25 campaign.

Man United 'learn asking price for Nice's Jean-Clair Todibo'
Nice have reportedly informed Manchester United that the asking price for Jean-Clair Todibo is £52m.
The 23-year-old was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford during the summer transfer window, with the Red Devils believed to have identified him as a replacement for Harry Maguire.
There was ultimately no exit for Maguire, though, and the England international regained his spot in Erik ten Hag's first XI before picking up a groin problem a month ago.
Maguire is now likely to remain at Old Trafford, but Raphael Varane and Jonny Evans are out of contract this summer, and there is expected to be a centre-back addition ahead of the 2024-25 campaign.

West Ham's Michael Forbes signs new contract
"I am over the moon, to be honest, and it is really nice to get this contract over the line," he told the club website.
"When I signed my first professional contract with West Ham, getting my next one was a huge goal of mine, so I am proud that my work in that time has been recognised and that I have done well enough to get this contract.
"It's important that I kick on now because it's been a really good season so far for the U21s and hopefully we can keep pushing on as a team.
"Personally, I've got to keep showing up and performing because there is so much more work to be done to make it to the level I want to reach.
"The message that the coaches make clear to you each day is that you have to be on it, maintain these levels, and keep working hard every day to keep this journey going."
Sporting director Mark Noble added: "Michael is a great character and professional, one highly regarded by both teammates, staff, and coaches at the Academy, and we are all delighted to see his journey continue at West Ham United.
"This new contract shows our faith and belief in Michael to continue the progress he has made during the past few years.
"He has gone from strength to strength in the role of U21s captain this season, helping his side to an impressive run to the Bristol Street Motors Trophy last 16. He has also impressed for his country over the last 12 months, making his Under-21 and senior international debuts for Northern Ireland.
"What is clear is that the task ahead is not an easy one for any young player, but myself, alongside Academy Manager Kenny Brown, and the coaches and staff across Rush Green and Chadwell Heath, are working hard to make sure these young players have the best chances to make a career for themselves.
"Ultimately, it is now up to Michael – as it is with the other young professionals to have signed new contracts this season – to kick on and forge their path in football.
"We believe Michael has the attributes, dedication, and desire to do just that and are excited to see what comes next for him in east London."

Transfer rumours: Leicester want Sensi, Al-Hilal chasing Digne, Atletico keen on Almada
Leicester City head coach Enzo Maresca has confirmed that he wants to sign Inter Milan midfielder Stefano Sensi before the end of the January transfer window.
The 28-year-old was once regarded as a key man at San Siro, but he has been restricted to just four substitute outings during the 2023-24 campaign.
With the playmaker's contract due to expire in the summer, Inter have no interest in a renewal and are ready to accept a cut-price fee, a scenario that interests Leicester.
On Friday, Maresca confirmed that he wanted to bring his Italian compatriot to the Championship leaders, albeit only after at least one exit has been facilitated.

Manchester United's Joe Hugill joins Burton Albion on loan
Manchester United have announced that Joe Hugill has joined Burton Albion on loan for the second half of the 2023-24 campaign, shortly after signing a new deal at Old Trafford.
The 20-year-old is yet to make his first-team debut for the Red Devils, but he signed a new contract at the club last week, with his terms now running until the end of the 2025-26 campaign.
Despite Man United lacking options at centre-forward, it has been decided that Hugill's development would be best-served away from the club at this stage of his career, and he will spend the rest of the season with Burton.
Martin Paterson's side operate in League One, and they currently sit 17th in the table ahead of their next game away to Derby County on Monday night.
