Sports Mole rounds up all of Manchester United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash with Nottingham Forest.

Seeking to avoid a third successive Premier League away defeat, Manchester United head to the City Ground to do battle with Nottingham Forest on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Devils enter the domestic contest on the back of a 2-2 draw with Sevilla in the first leg of their Europa League tie, where own goals from Tyrell Malacia and Harry Maguire wiped out a two-goal advantage late on.

Erik ten Hag's men cruised past Everton 2-0 in their most recent top-flight showdown, though, leaving them in control of their Champions League destiny in fourth place in the table.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with the Tricky Trees, who are entrenched in the relegation zone in 18th place.

Lisandro Martinez

Status: Out
Type of injury: Foot
Possible return date: Unknown

With 86 minutes gone in Thursday's game with Sevilla, Lisandro Martinez dropped to the turf with nobody near him, and he had to be carried off the field by Argentina teammates Marcos Acuna and Gonzalo Montiel.

The centre-back was then loaded onto a stretcher, and it has now been confirmed that he will miss the rest of the season after fracturing a metatarsal in his foot.

Raphael Varane

Status: Out
Type of injury: Foot
Possible return date: Unknown

Prior to Martinez's injury, Raphael Varane was withdrawn at half time against Sevilla - having gone down with a foot problem too - and the Frenchman will be out for a few weeks, but there is hope that he will play again before the season is over.

Scott McTominay

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: April 16 (vs. Forest)

The injuries were piling up for Man United even before Thursday's affair commenced, as Scott McTominay was nowhere to be seen in the Europa League due to a knock, but his issue is not a serious one and should not prevent him from returning to the squad this weekend.

Marcus Rashford

Status: Out
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: April 30 (vs. Aston Villa)

Red-hot striker Marcus Rashford sustained a groin concern in last weekend's win over Everton, and Man United announced earlier this week that the England international would miss a "few games", potentially putting him on course for a return before the end of the month.

Luke Shaw

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: April 16 (vs. Forest)

Left-back Luke Shaw suffered a hamstring issue in Man United's win over Brentford earlier this month, but Ten Hag has confirmed that he has an outside chance of being back in contention here.

Donny van de Beek

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Donny van de Beek remains on the long road to recovery from a serious knee problem sustained in January, and the Dutchman has already been ruled out for the remainder of the season.

Alejandro Garnacho

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Teenage attacker Alejandro Garnacho sustained an ankle injury in Man United's draw with Southampton last month, and it will be another few weeks before the Argentine can return, but he should turn out for the Red Devils again before the season is over.

Tom Heaton

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Second-choice goalkeeper Tom Heaton is also nursing an ankle problem, which he picked up just before the recent international break, and he is expected to miss another couple of weeks.

MANCHESTER UNITED SUSPENSION LIST

Man United have no players on the naughty step for this match, with Casemiro back from a four-game domestic suspension and Bruno Fernandes's ban only applying to the Europa League.
