Gameweek 15 of the 2021-22 Premier League season is done and dusted, and there is a new leader in town as Manchester City saw off Watford 3-1 to rise to the top of the table.

Chelsea have been knocked off their perch after losing 3-2 to West Ham United, and Liverpool also took advantage of their rivals' slip-up by claiming a dramatic 1-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Tottenham Hotspur have suddenly surged to fifth after seeing off Norwich City 3-0, while Manchester United's era under Ralf Rangnick kicked off with a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.

Arsenal slumped to another defeat as Everton ended their winless run with a 2-1 victory on Monday night, and Newcastle United finally claimed their first win of the season - beating Burnley 1-0.

Elsewhere, Aston Villa claimed a 2-1 win over Leicester City, Southampton and Brighton & Hove Albion played out a 1-1 draw, and the spoils were also shared in Leeds United's 2-2 stalemate with Brentford.

Here, Sports Mole selects its Team of the Week for gameweek 15 of the Premier League season.

DEFENCE

He may have conceded three goals on the day, but Man City's margin of victory against Watford would have been far greater without Daniel Bachmann in goal, as the Austrian racked up nine saves - eight from inside the box - to leave with his head held high.

Matty Cash was not the main member of the Villa backline to make all the headlines against Leicester - that accolade belongs to another member of this TOTW - but with nine tackles, five interceptions and two key passes, the Poland international was outstanding at Villa Park.

Not often will you see a defender bag a match-winning brace, but Cash's teammate Ezri Konsa did exactly that to propel his side to all three points against the Foxes, with Steven Gerrard certainly enjoying his start to life back in England.

The majority of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium celebrated while he cut a stoic figure, but there was every reason to smile at Davinson Sanchez's performance against Norwich, as the Colombian smashed home his side's second, won 3/3 aerial duels and made four tackles in a strong showing.

Finally, Alex Telles is finally enjoying a consistent run in the Man United first team and is certainly making his count, playing his part against Palace with seven tackles as he also rattled the woodwork in front of the home crowd.

MIDFIELD

Barely a few months after it was revealed that he was seeking a move away, Bernardo Silva continues to go from strength to strength for this Man City side, scoring twice against Watford - his second one was truly a peach - while he also registered four key passes and a 93% pass accuracy.

The red side of Manchester is also represented in our engine room this week, as the much-maligned Fred scored a cracker of goal to hand Rangnick his first win in the dugout, and the Brazilian also chalked up 5/6 accurate long balls and seven tackles to help keep the Eagles at bay.

Enjoying something of a mini-revival in a Chelsea shirt, Mason Mount may not have ended up on the winning side at West Ham, but with one goal, one assist, four key passes and an 87% pass accuracy, the England international was a standout performer in the capital.

ATTACK

One man who did claim a goal and assist before ending up on the winning side at the London Stadium was Jarrod Bowen, who won the penalty for Manuel Lanzini to convert before equalising for his side just before the hour mark, as the former Hull City man continues to flourish under David Moyes.

While Harry Kane continues to look for his lost shooting boots, Son Heung-min's golden touch is not going anywhere, as the South Korea star provided the assist for Lucas Moura's stunner against Norwich before rounding off the scoring in North London with a smart finish through a sea of Canaries bodies.

Finally, the cult hero himself. Jurgen Klopp knows exactly who to call upon when Liverpool need a last-minute winner, and while his opportunities have been few and far between this season, Divock Origi was on hand to turn and smash home the deciding goal against Wolves to spark jubilant scenes for the visitors, and Klopp has since joked that he will write a book about the 'legendary' Belgian forward.
