Former head coach Erik ten Hag has revealed what he misses from his life at Manchester United.

Ten Hag went into the 2024-25 campaign with an improved contract on the back of last season's FA Cup success, albeit largely down to a suitable replacement not being found.

After a dismal start to the new season, INEOS made the decision to sack the Dutchman, who departed his role after recording 70 wins and 35 defeats during his 128 matches in charge.

The change in head coach is yet to pay off with Ruben Amorim posting nine victories and nine defeats during his opening 22 fixtures.

As such, Ten Hag's reputation has arguably been bolstered through United's issues appearing far deeper than with whoever holds the leading role in the dugout.

What does Ten Hag miss at Man United?

Given the strong criticism that followed every defeat and fail to win, Ten Hag could be forgiven for being relieved to see the back of life at the club.

Nevertheless, in an interview via his agency SEG, Ten Hag gave a definitive answer when revealing what he missed about the Premier League giants.

He said: "If there's one thing I miss, it's Old Trafford."

In his first season, Ten Hag impressively recorded 15 wins and just one defeat in his 19 Premier League games at the Theatre of Dreams.

During the following campaign, however, the Red Devils emerged victorious on just 10 occasions, losing six times.

When will Ten Hag return?

Ten Hag has already been linked with the previously-vacant Borussia Dortmund job since his departure from United in October.

However, the 55-year-old has revealed that no-one should expect him to return before the end of the season.

He added: "I've already decided not to take any job until the 1st of July, so until the start of the new season."

With Ten Hag winning the EFL Cup and FA Cup during a reign where his win ratio was better than Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's and in close proximity to Jose Mourinho's, the former Ajax man will likely find himself in contention for high-profile positions. body check tags ::
