Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: 'We were very subdued at Watford'

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has admitted that his side were "very subdued" during Sunday's 2-0 loss to Watford in the Premier League.

The Red Devils entered the clash at Vicarage Road looking to move to within one point of the top four in the Premier League table, but Watford scored twice in the early stages of the second half to triumph.

Solskjaer has claimed that the first half could have 'easily been his testimonial', with the 20-time English champions struggling to make their mark.

"It is not a complacency thing. This was about loads of other things. The first half could have easily been my testimonial, maybe it would have been a better atmosphere," Solskjaer told reporters. "It was very subdued, slow, no tempo or urgency. We gifted them two goals in the second half."

Next up for United is a home game against an in-form Newcastle United on Boxing Day.
