Caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reportedly criticised his Manchester United squad after their FA Cup quarter-final defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

United and Solskjaer regarded the FA Cup as their best chance to win a trophy this season, but the North-West outfit were deservedly beaten at Molineux on Saturday night.

According to The Sun, the setback resulted in Solskjaer accusing his players of producing the style of football which ended with Jose Mourinho being sacked before Christmas.

United have impressed since Solskjaer replaced Mourinho in December, but the Norwegian acknowledged that his side had underperformed in the last-eight clash at the weekend.

The report claims that Solskjaer 'laid into his players' after the game, and suggested that they should begin to contemplate their future at Old Trafford.

Solskjaer has still won 14 of his 19 matches in all competitions.
