Saudi Arabia Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has allegedly ended his interest in buying Manchester United.

Reports had previously suggested that Bin Salman was keen to complete a takeover of the Premier League giants, who are currently owned by the Glazer family.

However, according to The Sun, the Glazers do not want to part ways with United in the near future and may look to take on a more 'hands-on approach'.

Bin Salman is said to have been prepared to make a bid in the region of £3.8bn, and would be happy to spend big in order for United to challenge neighbours Manchester City.

United currently trail City by a 27-point margin in the top-flight standings.
