Alexis Sanchez: 'Manchester United teammate Paul Pogba has to be trusted'

By , Senior Reporter | 4d
Alexis Sanchez claims that Manchester United teammate Paul Pogba "has to be trusted" in order for the World Cup winner to produce his best form.

Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez has suggested that faith needs to be placed in Paul Pogba in order for the midfielder to produce his best form.

Pogba has been a revelation since the appointment of caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with eight goals and five assists coming from 10 outings in all competitions.

That is in sharp contrast to Pogba's contribution under previous manager Jose Mourinho, and Sanchez has indicated that a show of 'trust' has proven to be the difference.

The Chilean told The Mirror: "Paul Pogba is still young, but he is a great player, who has to be trusted in the team.

"Now I see him far more involved in the team and he's playing well. There's a great atmosphere at the club."

Pogba had been linked with a move away from Old Trafford, but the 25-year-old is now expected to remain at the club.
