Roy Keane has criticised Tottenham Hotspur captain Harry Kane following his performance against Manchester United on Saturday.

Spurs were beaten 3-0 at home against the Red Devils, with goals coming from Cristiano Ronaldo, Edinson Cavani and Marcus Rashford, which saw the club drop to eighth in the table.

After the match, Keane was critical of the England international, who has only scored one goal in the Premier League this season.

"Spurs are boring to watch. They are boring to watch. Really boring. If you watch the game, they are the home team you are thinking the stadium was empty.

"Come on, where is that bit of energy? There was a bit of booing at the end and that was probably aimed at Harry Kane more than anybody else because his performance was not up to scratch," Keane told Sky Sports.

Tottenham failed to register a single shot on target throughout the performance, with a midweek fixture against Vitesse in the Europa Conference League up next for them. body check tags ::
