The news of Rangnick's appointment has been widely welcomed by the Man United fanbase, and Neville - a staunch supporter of Solskjaer - has now followed suit.
Neville wrote on Twitter: "Welcome to the Greatest Football Club in the World Ralf Rangnick. A contract for 6 months to coach the team. A contract for 2 years to coach the club."
Rangnick will take on a two-year consultancy role at Old Trafford when his time on the touchline comes to an end, where he will likely have a say over the appointment of a new permanent coach.
The former RB Leipzig manager's work permit is yet to be sorted, though, so Michael Carrick may remain in charge for Thursday's Premier League battle with Arsenal at Old Trafford. body check tags ::
