Antonio Conte has reportedly told Manchester United that he would demand complete control of the club's transfers should he be appointed at Old Trafford.

After a 5-0 thrashing at the hands of Liverpool left the Red Devils in seventh place in the Premier League, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's position as manager has come under more threat than ever, with the hierarchy reportedly questioning whether the former striker is the man to carry the club forward.

The difficult form has led to links around whom the English giants could target as their next manager, with former Chelsea boss Conte reportedly standing as one of the front-runners.

According to the Daily Mail, the Italian has concerns over the current structure of the Red Devils and how the club is run, and he would demand full control of all transfer business at Old Trafford.

Conte is currently out of work after leaving Inter Milan in the summer, having guided them to a first Serie A title in 11 years last term, while he has also won three Scudettos with Juventus and a Premier League title with Chelsea in the 2016-17 season - his first campaign at the club.
