Manchester United co-owner Avram Glazer will reportedly be at Wembley for Saturday's FA Cup final.

The Red Devils will take on bitter rivals Manchester City in the showpiece event in London, bidding to make it a domestic cup double for the season, having also lifted the EFL Cup at the end of February.

Glazer was present at the final of the League Cup against Newcastle United, while he was also at Wembley last month for the Women's FA Cup final, which Manchester United Women lost 1-0 to Chelsea Women.

According to The Athletic, the American will be in London for Saturday's match, and his two previous trips by private jet have cost the club £250,000 each time.

The Glazers are rarely seen at Man United matches due to the large-scale protests towards them from the club's fanbase, who are demanding that the Americans sell the club.

Last November, the Glazer family revealed that they were open to a sale, and the talks regarding a takeover are ongoing, with British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani viewed as the favourites to purchase the club.

Man United are yet to name a preferred bidder, but various reports in recent weeks have claimed that Ratcliffe has moved into pole position.

The bid from the British businessman allegedly values Man United in the region of £5.5bn, and he would initially only be looking for a controlling stake of 51%, which could see the Glazers stay as minority shareholders.

However, there is expected to be a clause that will allow Ratcliffe to buy the remaining shares owned by the Glazers after three years.

Sheikh Jassim, on the other hand, wants to complete a full takeover of the club, and he has also committed additional funds to improving the stadium and training ground.

At one stage, the offer from the Qatari was thought to be preferred, but Ratcliffe is now seemingly at the head of the queue to purchase the English giants.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding the ownership situation, the club are pressing ahead with their plans for the summer transfer window, with Chelsea's Mason Mount potentially becoming their first signing.

Personal terms have allegedly already been agreed with the England international, with the Red Devils now thought to be preparing to approach Chelsea for transfer talks.

Head coach Erik ten Hag has also reportedly held a number of video calls with Atalanta BC forward Rasmus Hojlund to discuss a move to the club during the upcoming market. body check tags ::
