Report: Alexis Sanchez to miss Manchester United game against Brighton & Hove Albion

Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez looks set to miss the Premier League game at Brighton & Hove Albion after not featuring in the club's travelling party.

Alexis Sanchez has reportedly been omitted from the Manchester United squad to face Brighton & Hove Albion away in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Red Devils took a 20-man squad to Manchester Airport on Saturday for the journey to the south coast, but the Chilean did not appear to be present in the travelling party.

Sanchez completed 90 minutes in United's 2-1 win against Leicester City last Friday but largely flattered to deceive against the former English champions.

The apparent absence of the 29-year-old, who had trained all week with his teammates at Carrington, could see Romelu Lukaku drafted in from the start against the Seagulls, with one of Marcus Rashford or Anthony Martial on the wing.

Sanchez is under contract at Old Trafford until 2022.
