Kevin De Bruyne: 'I think I will be back for the Manchester derby'

Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne is aiming to return to the pitch before his team host rivals Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium on November 11.

Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has said that he is aiming to return to the pitch before his team host rivals Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium on November 11.

The Belgium international suffered a knee injury during a training session in August, leaving the midfielder on the sidelines for the early stages of the new season.

City have dropped points to Wolverhampton Wanderers and lost to Lyon in the Champions League since De Bruyne's injury, and the former Chelsea player is keen to recover and help his team.

"I still need three, four, five weeks, but I'm getting there," De Bruyne told reporters at the FIFA 19 launch.

"Hopefully I can be back soon, help the team, and perform well.

"I'm hoping to be back after the next international break. I think I will be back for the [Manchester] derby."

City sit third in the Premier League table, despite having the highest goal difference in the league.
